Wheeler's Home Connection

Wheeler's Home Connection program is an innovative pharmacy service that has been shown to control ongoing prescription costs, as well as promote and prolong independent living. Our program strives to decrease the number of unwanted effects from medications, in order to prevent falls, fractures, and other adverse events that may lead to loss of independence. Our program is targeted for seniors in retirement and residential facilities and is supervised by pharmacists, who specialize in pharmacy care for seniors. By approaching medication management from the standpoint of each individual's lifestyle and abilities, we can customize a system to promote independence and improve quality of life.

As a participant in our program, Wheeler Pharmacy will provide all prescriptions and over-the-counter medications needed for your medication management. As your designated pharmacy, Wheeler Pharmacy will dispense into vials, which will remain stored in the pharmacy to expedite preparing your weekly medication set. Each week a 7-day supply of your routine medication is prepared and delivered to your residence. To support compliance, our staff assists in obtaining all prior authorizations and refills when needed. After our weekly visit, our staff reviews the previous week's medication supply for compliance and follow-up is made as appropriate. The charge for this innovative pharmacy service is $115 per month, with a one-time enrollment fee of $100.

Durable Medical Equipment

Wheeler Pharmacy is an accredited Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) DMEPOS provider. Durable medical equipment (DME) is any medical equipment used in the home to aid in a better quality of living, such as canes, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. We also have a wide variety of diabetic supplies, such as test strips and monitors

Home Delivery

Wheeler Pharmacy offers next day home delivery of most prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) items phoned in before 3 PM the previous day. Same day delivery is available for emergency situations. The charge is $3 with most deliveries. We limit our delivery area in order to serve our customers as efficiently as possible and to keep the fees to a minimum, please ask if you are in our area. In addition, please note that someone must be home to sign for all prescription drug deliveries. We will NOT leave prescriptions at an empty house. This is to protect your privacy and because all insurance companies require us to keep a signature log.

Buddy's Diner!

If you haven't tried Wheeler's Fountain, then you are really missing out! We serve breakfast and lunch, Monday through Saturday and offer many specialty items, such as the Buddy Burger, scrumptious milkshakes, and homemade salad and soups. The fountain hours are 9am-3pm, Tuesday through Saturday with the hot grill shutting down 30 minutes before closing each day.
